Xtend Play’s Clever Marketing: Naked Gaming Parties in New York

27 May 2011 No Comment

Playing video games while naked and accompanied by sexy girls? Hmm…an interesting party to attend. But, come on, this is too good to be true. How many women are attracted to the game, despite wearing a complete outfit? And Why would women show up to a naked gaming party?

Have you seen the commercial video? It’s allegedly a naked gaming party that took place in the New York City. All the naked people in the video are playing Xtend. How scandalous! But sorry, because you will never find this kind of event in the real world.

Let us get this out of the way: Xtend Play is a strange ergonomic accessory for XBox 360 and Playstation.  James Percelay and Michael Krivicka of Thinkmodo made a very clever marketing video in an attempt to go viral (“naked/nude” always succeeds online).

But we must admit that this worked. Traffic to xtendplay’s website jumped by 41 percent in one day, according to the Daily News.  The clip was viewed more than 100,000 times and posted at websites like The Sun and Yahoo.

Although many websites suspicious about the truth of this video, but posted it anyway, including this blog, because it’s entertaining and fun also because it includes naked people, their private parts hanging out everywhere.
