Tiny Funny Big and Sad

I’m a big fan of the McCoys installation work. This builds on their ‘Soft Rain’ installation at the launch of the FACT Centre in Liverpool a couple of years ago (and in fact, the same curator is now at BFI Southbank). They build these amazing models of urban/suburban scenes, with tiny cameras trained on various ‘shots’. The cameras are cut ‘live’ during the installation, with the resulting films projected onto the walls of the gallery. Really beautiful, touching and affecting.
