NFL Football. Who made the best Improvements in the off season?

27 April 2012 No Comment

Since every season of NFL football starts with the NFL Draft and continues with the normal season games, players have an off season to contend with. During the off-season and before the NFL draft, the question remains: who made the best improvements in the off season?

Some people say that Rod Marinello, the Browns’ Shaffer and Orlando Pace have best improved from the off-season in recent years. Some people who play fantasy football would take all three of these men and put them on their “fantasy football league.”

Others believe some recent Eagles football team players have improved the most from the off-season and will be picked first during the following year’s NFL draft pick lottery. Specifically, players such as Runyan and Tra Thomas are great contenders. Additionally, Buckhalter as a running back and Dawkins as a safety will be the best position for teams looking to capitalize on future NFL draft picks.

Regarding the Bears, its offense has gotten better through the NFL draft pick by selecting Orlandao Pace, Kevin Shaffer, Frank Omiyale, and Jay Cutler. Their defense was definitely improved with the expert coaching of Rod Marinelli who really help Pisa Tinoisamoa excel.  Further picks include the 6′ 5′ and 290 pound Jarron Gilber.

One can argue that the Redskins got lucky and played the NFL draft pretty well. One can say this because they got a hold of Albert Hayensworth. The Detroit Lions have also done well with the NFL draft because they picked up some free agents, that have not been disclosed, but have gotten some vastly improved players from the off-season because as long as the win for to five games, that is marked improvement and directly related to the improved off season NFL draft players.

Other people have argued that the Philadelphia Eagles have had quite a bounty from the NFL draft because they have picked up at least 9 well improved players from the off-season and probably more. Some of these players from the NFL draft include Andres, Weaver, Peters, Jones, Hobbs, Maclin, Peters, LeSean, and many more that have yet to play but have a ton of potential.

Other people argue that the Eagles might quite possibly be the best overall team because they have leveraged the NFL draft pick for the upcoming season. Since the Eagles were able to qualify for the NFC Championship and had the offense smartly and efficient rebuild and trained, many people believe it has taken advantage of the most improved off season players. Some of the best off season players mentioned were  Todd Herremans, Jamaal Jackson, Max Jean-Giles, Tre Thomas, and John Runyan. There is no exact science to measure which player would be called the best. However, they all made the best improvements compared to the entire NFL roster of players.

Based on the following debates, arguments, etc. every person has one or more person in mind regarding who improved the most from the off-season. However, the NFL draft was integral in setting them up with their teams and letting them show how the off-season affected the professional play.
