May 21, 2011 Is The Judgement Day? Really? This Is The Explanation

What? May 21, 2011 is the end of the world? The judgement day? How come? Is this true or that day will be a regular Saturday?

That’s about the questions that arise in my mind when I first heard this rumor. So who is responsible for this, and whether the basis for determining of 05-21-2011 is the “judgement day“?

It turned out that the source is the Family Radio Group. This group predicts that the end of the world is much faster than most current popular estimates, December 21, 2012. In determining the formulation of this, Family Radio use only mathematics that I can say “simple”,

4990 + 2011-1 = 7000

Where did the numbers come from, and what does it mean? Here is the explanation:

Harold Camping, the group leader believes all originated from Noah and his ark. He said that Noah built his ark in the year 4990 BC, after God told him that he only had 7 days to escape the destruction of the world.

I do not know where else essentially, these groups interpret that 1 day is equal to 1000 years. Means those 7 days is tantamount to 7000 years. This is the source of that 7000 figure. Because there is no year “0″ (zero) during the 7000 year, they gave compensation -1. Then the calculation is as above.

So, why May 21? They said the May 21, 2011 is the 17th day of the 2nd month according to the Biblical calendar, just like Noah’s great flood affected on the 17th day of the 2nd month, in the year 4990 BC.

Harold Camping has actually said this in 1994, that the apocalypse will happen on May 21, 1994, and it did not happen anything. Instead of 1994 he said it again this year, 2011.

How? Do you believe it? Believe it or not, it’s just people’s opinions, and everyone is free to express opinions. Correct? Whatever happens, 5 more days is May 21, 2011, we wait…
