Honda To Recall Over 2 Million Vehicles In The U.S. And China
Honda Motor Co. will recall more than 2 million vehicles in the United States and China to upgrade the software of the automatic transmission in several popular models.
The affected models are :
- 2005-2010 Honda Accord (4 cylinder models)
- 2007-2010 Honda CR-V
- 2005-2008 Honda Element
Toggle between conversely, neutral and drive positions – a common scene where they try to oust a car bomb in the mud or snow – can damage the automatic transmission system, the automaker said.
The problem can cause the engine to stall or make the parking gear difficult to engage. Honda said it has no injuries or deaths related to the issue.
Automaker said it would begin notifying owners starting August 31. Last month, nearly all Honda models sold in the United States, saw the beginning of the collapse of the sale.
Honda will also recall Odysseys, Spirior, and 760,515 Accords in China, according to a statement posted on its website in China.
