this is my favouritest new product design at the moment – the Dyson airblade. They’ve taken a completely fresh look at a problem (drying hands in public toilets – and come up with a solution that is radically different from the established norm. other manufacturers are just making the air stream faster and hotter- to the point where the skin on your hands ripples like sand in the desert…

    So how’sit work, then?

    hmmm that’s cool..

it creates a thin razor like wall of air that seems to whisk the water off yr hands so uses force rather than heat. I love dyson – cool :)

A beautiful piece of design. I might go to Excel just to experience it!

Could this actually be the sole redeeming feature of ExCeL as a venue?

I looked forward to playing with these throughout the day @ ExCel. And I wanted to snap a pic, so I’m glad you did. Brilliant the way these are constructed.

Jenni – I’m so glad you said that it’s the new design of old-style hand dryers that make the skin on your hands ripple. I thought it was because I’d hit 40 and that was what my skin did now. Phew! Just have to watch out for that first liver spot now!

Oh, and more on-topic, I’m a huge fan of the Airblade!
