Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver Divorced after 25 Years of Marriage

Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and wife Maria Shriver announced their split late Monday evening, after the marriage hit the age of 25 years.

As the Associated Press report on Tuesday May, 10 2011, a spokeswoman for Schwarzenegger, Daniel Ketchell announces the ‘Terminator’ star’s divorce from his wife on Monday, May, 9 2011.

Ketchell said both Schwarzenegger and Shriver will continue to maintain good relations despite their separate lives and still continue to exercise their responsibilities as parents of four children, Katherine, 21, Christina, 19, Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13.

Schwarzenegger and Shriver had a joint written statement about their situation :

“This has been a professional and personal transition that great for us each. After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion, and prayer, we came to this decision together.”
